Hey Adam! Your piece is full of great references. I need to check these things out!
I loved this quote from the Deep Literacy piece that you included:
“Fatigue makes it even harder to sort the trivial from the salient and navigate the glut of decisions modern life throws at us.”
I’d love to see you expand the piece. Would you have any interest in recording a podcast on the topic?
I loved that you had a “solutions” focus at the end.
I think the solutions you offered are part of a possible “holistic approach” where readers can pick and choose and try out different ideas and practices(ie practical applications of those ideas), to find ways to reclaim their attention, be less fatigued, and live more meaningful, more focused lives.
Great essay- I think we're both looking at this for the sense-making crisis that it is: https://www.adamkaraoguz.com/attention-1
